Cedars-Sinai Surgery Center Ranked #1 in the US by Newsweek (2023 Rankings)
The 2022 Newsweek ranking represents a 5-spot increase for Cedars-Sinai Surgery Center from 2021
The Cedars Sinai ambulatory surgery center, where Dr. Ehsan Saadat performs outpatient spine procedures, including minimally-invasive surgery, cervical disc replacements, and lumbar disc replacements, has been ranked the second-best surgery center in California by Newsweek.
The ambulatory surgery center is a medical facility where patients can undergo minimally-invasive outpatient procedures without having to spend any time at a hospital. The Best Surgery Centers list is created by Newsweek through its partnership with Statistica.

The ranked centers are vetted carefully before earning their spot on Newsweek’s list. Among the criteria analyzed were Cedars-Sinai Spine Center’s:

- Quality of surgery preparations,
- Quality of surgical care, and
- Quality of follow-up care.
Saadat Spine’s Dr. Ehsan Saadat is among the recognized Cedars-Sinai spine surgeons. Dr. Ehsan Saadat serves as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Cedars-Sinai and is the co-director of spinal surgery at the Cedars-Sinai Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
His areas of expertise include disk replacement and motion-preserving surgery, minimally invasive microscopic decompression of the cervical and lumbar spine, minimally invasive spinal fusions (XLIF and ALIF), and complex revision spine surgery.
