Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has once again earned national recognition from U.S. News & World Report, securing a place on the publication’s prestigious “Best Hospitals” Honor Roll for 2026-27.
This marks the 11th consecutive year Cedars-Sinai has been named to the Honor Roll. The medical center also tied for the #1 hospital ranking in both California and the Los Angeles region, while 10 of its medical specialties ranked among the best in the country.
For Dr. Ehsan Saadat, an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, one distinction is particularly meaningful: Cedars-Sinai Orthopedics ranked #5 in the nation and #1 in both California and Los Angeles.
Cedars-Sinai Orthopedics Ranks #5 in the Nation
U.S. News ranked Cedars-Sinai among the five best hospitals in the United States for orthopedics in its 2026-27 rankings. It was also the highest-ranked orthopedics program in California and Los Angeles.
The recognition reflects the strength of a department dedicated not only to patient care but also to research, education, and the continued advancement of orthopedic treatment.

An 11th Consecutive Year on the U.S. News Honor Roll
The 2026-27 recognition continues Cedars-Sinai’s long record of national distinction.
U.S. News selects 20 hospitals for its national Honor Roll based on performance across multiple specialties, procedures, and conditions. Its hospital rankings consider measures that include patient outcomes, patient experience, and a hospital’s ability to care for patients with complex medical conditions.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has now earned a place on that Honor Roll for 11 consecutive years. The latest rankings recognized 10 specialties as among the best in the nation. Three ranked among the top five nationally:
- Gastroenterology & GI Surgery ranked #3,
- Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery ranked #4, and
- Orthopedics ranked #5.
Pulmonology & Lung Surgery also placed in the national top 10 at #9. At the state level, Orthopedics, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, and Cardiology, Heart & Vascular Surgery each ranked #1 in California. All three also ranked #1 in Los Angeles, joined by Obstetrics & Gynecology as the highest-ranked program in the region.
What the Orthopedics Ranking Represents
Hospital rankings are only one measure of medical care, and no ranking can determine which physician or treatment is right for an individual patient.
