This Is the Second Consecutive Year That Cedars-Sinai Has Received the Top Spot
The Cedars Sinai ambulatory surgery center, where Dr. Ehsan Saadat performs outpatient spine procedures, including minimally-invasive surgery, cervical disc replacements, and lumbar disc replacements, has been ranked the #1 surgery center in California and the highest scoring center in the United States by Newsweek.
The ambulatory surgery center is a medical facility where patients can undergo minimally-invasive outpatient procedures without having to spend any time at a hospital. The Best Surgery Centers list is created by Newsweek through its partnership with Statistica.
The ranked centers are vetted carefully before earning their spot on Newsweek’s list. In total, Newsweek examined more than 5,000 ambulatory surgery centers throughout the US. They then scored them based on two categories: Reputation and Quality Metrics. Among the criteria analyzed were Cedars-Sinai Spine Center’s:
- Management of the COVID-19 crisis,
- Management of waiting time,
- Quality of surgery preparations,
- Quality of surgical care, and
- Quality of follow-up care.
Based on this criteria, Cedars-Sinai received a score of 94.12%. This makes the hospital’s spine surgery center, along with other surgical centers, one of the best in the country.
